David Fischer I have spent the last days in quarantine and listened to absolutely herculean amounts of music. The most recent of my many poor life choices has been diving into the exciting, but abysmally deep rabbit hole that is Déhà's discography. Decadanse, a very recent offering as of writing this, entranced me with its maliciously well-designed cover artwork, stole 45 minutes of my vile life and turned them into a trance-like, hypnotising experience. I am not sure what happened, but it was fvcking great. Favorite track: I Am The Dead.

Nekobibu ...and yet another wonderful release from Déhà.
Everything blends perfectly into a delightful aural experience. Highly recommended.

Favorite track: The Devil's Science.

bmurator This is extremely interesting and intense music in so many ways. The amount of styles to be found here is endless! Déhà, of course, masters every single one of them and transitions from one any other completely seamlessly! Oh yes & I totally love that cover! One hell of a ride! Highly recommended!!!

about

Imagine two dark stories that were born in prehistoric times and that end in a future in which death via the vacuum of space is a means of torture. In one, the Devil of all things. In the other, prayer for the goddess of war.

"Decadanse" is an album mixing classic styles of extreme metal (doom, black, death) and not at all classic (electronics, glitches, fast phrasing, ...), surrounded by a dark and cosmic blue aura, which stands close to the greats of the genre like Aborym & Dodsheimgard. Déhà delivers here a mature, varied, unique album: a visit card of the multiple facets of the musician, but also as a producer. Fast, incisive, powerful, epic, a fist in the air towards the heavens... and then comes the dance of the dead.

Well, it's fucked up music.
